Flower hair clips. When I was much younger I used to love wearing flowers in my hair. I have some very fond memories of summer vacations when we would rent a cottage outside of the city and my mom would teach me how to make wreaths out of wild flowers. We would spend hours choosing the right stems and the perfect lengths. One year during a trip to Spain, I purchased a bright orange flower clip and proudly wore it for that whole summer. I remember feeling very exotic. In fact, now that I think about it, I still have all my hair pieces from ballet performances I did in the past.
I’ve since gotten older and wiser but I still get excited when I see someone wearing a flower in their hair. So when I saw the flower hair clips that Jamie of Chatter Blossom creates, I knew that I had to have one. She graciously gave me some ideas on how to wear them in my hair and I promptly ordered a little green one called, “Cheek to Cheek” from her Etsy store.
My flower came in the mail yesterday along with a little pink friend and they are both beautiful! The green is so fresh and vibrant, perfect for spring and the pink will be just right for warm summer evenings. My new friends are very versatile as I’ll be able to attach the clips, not only to my hair but to a dress strap or jacket. Or, I’m even thinking of clipping one to my purse.
My new gems come with the perfect story as they are handmade and their centers are lovely vintage buttons. Jamie’s personalized note really warmed my heart. I’m sure my new friends and I will have many amazing adventures together!

You should just start small… a little flower on a ponytail! Go for it, you’ll feel so good about yourself!
